Celebrating Community & Creativity at Dawlish Carnival

This year, we were delighted to once again join the Dawlish community in celebrating Dawlish Carnival Week 2025 and what a fantastic week it was! With glorious sunshine and a buzzing atmosphere, the town came alive with activities and entertainment for all ages.

We truly loved being part of such a cherished local tradition, coming together with friends, families, and visitors to celebrate everything that makes Dawlish so special. It was also wonderful to support and collaborate with other local businesses, highlighting the strength and spirit of our community.

Here’s to another unforgettable Carnival Week, we’re already looking forward to next year!

KICKING OFF THE MORNING WITH ZUMBA

To kickstart the day with plenty of energy, our brilliant Entertainment Manager (and Zumba superstar!) Flo got everyone moving with a morning  Zumba session in the sunshine. His enthusiasm was absolutely infectious, and before long the bandstand was full of families, friends, and carnival-goers dancing, laughing, and soaking up the feel-good vibes. It was the perfect way to set the tone for another jam-packed day of Carnival fun, and we loved seeing so many happy faces joining in together.

OUR CARNIVAL STALLS

On Tuesday and Thursday, we set up our stall down on the Lawn alongside lots of other brilliant local businesses – the perfect chance for both locals and holidaymakers to discover what Cofton has to offer this year. From exciting new activities to fresh updates across the park, there was plenty for visitors to explore and chat to us about, whether they were planning a sunny summer break or a cosy winter getaway.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Cofton stall without a bit of fun! Guests had the chance to win some amazing prizes, from a luxury lodge stay to tasty treats and Digby goodies for the little ones with our Hook a Duck game.

A QUACK-TASTIC DUCK RACE

One of the absolute highlights of Carnival Week was, of course, the famous Dawlish Duck Race on Thursday at the Brook. The atmosphere was buzzing as families and friends lined the banks, waiting eagerly for the big moment. Our very own Digby the Dinosaur was on hand to launch the race in style.

THE GRAND PARADE

To round off an incredible week, we proudly joined the Carnival Parade on the Friday, which this year was themed ‘Around the World in 80 Days’. Our decorated tractor and trailer rolled through the town in true Cofton style – with colour, fun, and plenty of bubbles drifting into the crowd. With music, waving, and smiles all around, it was fantastic to see families and friends lining the route and enjoying the spectacle.

What made it even more special was the number of friendly faces who recognised Cofton and cheered us on, a true reminder of the wonderful community spirit here in Dawlish. Taking part in the parade was the perfect finale to a week full of laughter, sunshine, and togetherness, and we couldn’t be prouder to support such a cherished local tradition.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, took part, and celebrated with us. Dawlish Carnival Week 2025 was a joy to be part of and it’s great to support Dawlish and spread the word about Cofton, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!
