Ahh, summer. Time for the kids to recharge with some of the best summer holiday activities in Devon and for you to get some much-needed relaxation! The sun is out (sometimes!) and there’s no better place to be than our glorious corner of Devon. Spend the summer holidays going on an adventure, revelling in the long summer evenings and discovering new ways to have fun when the inevitable rain drops start falling. Well, it wouldn’t be a British summer without it!

There’s so much to do at Cofton and throughout Devon that it’s hard to know where to start… Whether you’re heading for the glistening English Riviera or the wonderful hills of South Devon, Devon has the best summer holiday activities for kids. Personally, we think it’s best to start off with some thrills… Go Ape in Haldon Forest is the perfect place to take your little baboons (ages 10+) for a day, offering something completely new for everyone. You’ll get lost in the woods and experience so much more than your average activity park. It’s easy, too. You just get there and swing from tree to tree. It’s that simple… 🙈

If you fancy something a bit closer to home, there’s always zorbing available at Cofton where you can find out who’s the king or queen of the ring for only £5 per person. Challenge friends or family to a zorb-off! Or inspire your water babies on our mermaid experience – perfect for any budding water princes or princesses in your family. Don’t worry, full mermaid training (and tail) is provided by an experienced mermaid!

For something a little bit different, we’ve got just the thing for those budding anglers in the family. Learn to fish at Cofton on a Monday or Wednesday with expert tuition and all the gear provided. Get to know your bream from your carp and learn how to get those fish on the hook!

If something a bit more traditional is right up your street, nothing can beat a great day out at the beach. We’ve got everything you could need at our on site shop for a wonderful day out on the golden Devon sand. There are some wonderful sand artists based in Devon which you can draw inspiration from for your own creation. The best part about all of this? Anyone can do it and there’s no limit as to what you can create, as anyone of Devon’s wonderful beaches can be your canvas.

We’d love to say that even in Devon we have long hazy summer days followed by gorgeous warm evenings, but it’s not always the way. So if the British Summer does take a turn for the worse there’s plenty of indoor fun to be had! The best summer holiday activities happen at our kids club, which runs all throughout the summer. Oh, and did we mention Cofton’s Got Talent? Our very own talent show which lets the singers, dancers and entertainers within us all at Cofton prove themselves and possibly win a free holiday. There’s also the indoor amusement and games arcade as well as the soft play area for the smaller members of the tribe.

There really is so much to do down here. The only struggle is finding the time to do it all!
