Restocked Lakes Key to Successful Fishing Holidays

Carp Fish holidays in the UK received a boost this week. As part of our continued stocking programme we welcomed a huge delivery of new fish to Cofton.

The new arrivals back up the stocks that were added in March 2017. We introduced 70 double-figure Carp weighing up to 13lbs 8oz; 36 of which went into Luscombe Lake, 22 went into Trusham Lake and 12 complimented the existing stock in Ashcombe Pool. 250 Carp weighing 4-6lb were introduced to Mamhead Lake, further increasing the stock density of Cofton’s match lake. 200 Tench weighing 1-2lb found themselves a new home in Powderham Pool, which is in the process of becoming a Tench / Silver fish only pool. Tench are slow growing fish, and our new additions represent 6 years of nurture. This is in line with our long-term vision of growing the fish stocks here at Cofton.

Carry on carping

The new delivery backs up the existing carp stocks. Coming off the back of an incredible September, this can only mean more opportunities for our anglers! We’ve loved seeing the results of your hard work, with lots of happy anglers onsite!
