With so many fantastic beaches, activities and country walking and cycling trails to explore here in South Devon, we understand that many families will want to go the extra mile to socially distance and protect their loved ones when holidaying with us.
That’s why our guests can now get complimentary duck whistles while stocks last to help them maintain a good social distance when exploring the local countryside and trails.
Available at reception while stocks last, parents and children alike need just blow on the whistle and make a loud ‘quack!’ sound to alert others to their presence. Many families are finding that the whistles are a fun way to protect themselves when the path ahead is unclear, such as in dense woodland or when passing dips and bends on walking and cycling trails.
The whistles are also being given out on our ‘Busy Bee’ escorted nature trail activity every Thursday – so hurry while stocks last!
We’ve put a whole host of other protective measures in place to keep your family safe too. These include additional hand washing facilities, reduced contact check in procedures (with Perspex screens installed at reception, shops and restaurants) and Personal Protective Equipment for staff.
There’s also new signage and floor stickers to encourage social distancing, and thorough deep cleaning procedures for accommodation, the park’s main complexes, toilets, shower facilities and ‘high touchpoint areas’ such as counters, tables or chairs.
As of Saturday 1st August, we’ll also be reopening our entertainment venue following a full redesign to reduce numbers and make it as Covid-safe as possible. You’ll find new procedures in place, such as the option to book tables for specific times ahead of time, spaced seating and reduced audience participation.
