Good news! It’s time for Easter eggs hunts, hot cross buns and gorgeous flowers blooming in every corner. Not only do we have an egg-cellent line-up at Cofton Holidays this Easter half term, but there are plenty of other Easter activities across South Devon. This is perfect if you want to travel a little further afield to discover this stunning part of the region…

Powderham Castle

Just around the corner from Cofton Holidays is the historical Powderham Castle. Discover this popular attraction in Kenton during the Easter Holidays and learn a new thing or two! Explore the previous life of a Victorian housekeeper and how they spring-cleaned the castle – you’ll get the chance to test this for yourself!

Not to mention there’s a handful of Easter activities to get involved with! Have cuddles with adorable lambs, embark on scenic country walks on Easter Egg trails and make some tasty chocolate nests to take home with you. (If they last that long!)

World of Country Life

Besides the ever so exciting daily activities at the World of Country Life including Deer Train Safari, Hunters of the Sky Flying Display and Small Animal Handling, this outdoor family attraction has a packed activity schedule ready for the Easter Holidays.

Across the Easter weekend expect special arts and crafts sessions, a visit from Silly Minis (decorated Mini cars!) and an Easter Egg Trail – hunt for the hidden eggs for your chance to win a prize! The Easter fun at World of Country Life starts on 30th March and ends of 13th April.

Egg-o-Saurus Dino Egg Hunt

Is your little explorer obsessed with dinosaurs? During your visit to this glorious corner of Devon save time for a trip to Crealy Adventure for their Eggo-Saurus Dino Hunt! Embark on a quest with your prehistoric map to discover the dino eggs across the park, once you find them all you’ll win a chocolatey prize! This special activity will take place from 30th March – 13th April, with an additional cost starting at £7.45.

Easter half term is the time to visit Crealy, as their most popular rides open for business for the season!

The Donkey Sanctuary

If you’re looking for a family day out that isn’t harsh on the bank account, visit The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth! This outdoor attraction is completely free to visit, meaning you have the pennies to donate to the charity or a tasty treat in their café – yum!

Make some new furry friends, stroll across the idyllic fields with spectacular views of Sidmouth and learn why donkeys matter through interactive indoor displays.

From 28th March – 19th April, take part in The Donkey Sanctuary’s Easter Nature trail – find all the different wildlife habitats to win a prize & certificate! Entry costs £3.50 per trail.

Killerton House

Did somebody say Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt? Visit Killerton House from 28th March – 19th April and take part in their special Easter adventure; explore both the gardens & parklands and when you finish a Cadbury chocolate treat will be waiting for you!
