Cofton Holidays 50th Birthday Bash: Everyone’s Invited

We’re throwing a party – and everyone’s invited! On Saturday 13th September, we’re continuing our  50th Anniversary celebrations with a day full of live music, family fun, and community spirit.

This year marks a huge milestone for us. From our humble beginnings back in 1975 as a small campsite, we’ve grown into one of Devon’s most loved holiday destinations. To raise a toast to five decades of Cofton memories, you’ll be able to sip on some very special anniversary drinks: Cofton Gin, Cofton 75 beer, and the refreshing Orchard Breeze cocktail – all created just for our golden year.

MORNING FUN TO KICK THINGS OFF

The fun begins at 9:30am with a Digby Breakfast at Amelia’s, where little ones can enjoy a tasty morning feast while meeting our lovable mascot, Digby, and the Cofton Crew.

From there, the celebration moves onto the Swan Patio at 11am, with entertainment for the whole family. Children can dive straight into the party spirit with face painting, laugh along with a roaming clown, and get creative with craft activities.

Meanwhile, adults can take a little stroll past our stalls, sampling delicious cakes, discovering the secrets behind Exeter Gin’s finest blends, and browsing a selection of luxury beauty products with our in-house therapist.

AFTERNOON FESTIVITIES

At The Swan Inn, you’ll find:

• Traditional fete stalls & creative workshops
• A rodeo sheep and patio games
• Cake and craft stands
• Beauty and gin pop-ups
• A sizzling BBQ serving up hot food all afternoon

Meanwhile, the kids can enjoy tractor-trailer rides, balloon modelling, circus games, face painting, and craft sessions, from pottery to tie-dye.

MUSIC ALL DAY & NIGHT

No birthday is complete without great music! The stage will come alive with:

• An acoustic set to ease into the afternoon
• Performances from Phil Smyth
• Open mic sessions
• A headline set from Rich Cottell
• High-energy party band Fascination

The night wraps up with a Dance Marathon Finale, where we’ll groove through the greatest hits from the 70’s to the 00’s.

POOL PARTIES & EVENING ENTERTAINMENT 

Looking for more ways to celebrate? Families can make a splash at the Pool Party, while over at The Warren Retreat, guests can enjoy:

• Kids’ disco
• Glow party
• Game shows
• And Digby’s very own 50th Birthday Special!
