Campsites In Devon – Which Pitch Suits You?
There are lots of different types of campsites ranging from small to large, from those with limited facilities to those like Cofton with extensive on-park activities and a family-friendly atmosphere. We have 6 types of pitches available at Cofton so you can choose what’s right for you. Our grass pitches are individually marked out and come with electricity hook-ups (except in the overflow field). The difference between this and our hard standing pitches is the surface, as grass pitches are meant for camping and hard standings for caravans/motorhomes. We also offer our super pitches which are similar to our hard standing pitches located towards the top of the park for easier access to fishing lakes.
Most campsites in Devon offer one of these options but at Cofton we offer all of this and more, with RV pitches and rallies available too. But the pitch alone isn’t everything… What more do you need in order to choose the best campsite for you? It depends on what kind of camper you are. If you want to really reconnect with nature, get away from the hustle and bustle and get your own barbecue on the go then we recommend arriving early on your arrival day and securing a prime spot in one of our grass pitches. There’s really nothing better than cooking your own breakfast whilst watching the sun come up over the Devon hills. When picking a good spot there’s plenty of things to take into consideration. Being close to water, getting some shade, privacy, level ground as well as shower facilities. As one of the largest campsites in Devon, we like to think we have pitches for everyone…

However, you might want to be a bit closer to the centre of all the action! We have pitches that are very close to our leisure complex, offering you the best of both worlds. Escape to nature when you want to get away from it all but still make the most of our indoor & outdoor pools, delicious treats from Amelia’s Pantry and fabulous evening entertainment in the Warren Retreat – all just a short walk away.
To The Beach Or The Moors?
Devon has such stunning scenery on offer, it would be a shame not to enjoy as much of it as you can. Are you coming down for a trip to the seaside or for a walk on the moors?
