Using our Wifi with apple devices:

Using our Wifi with apple devices:

Our wifi uses your MAC address to identify each device connected. Some Apple devices as a security measure refresh this MAC address frequently which can mean you need to reconnect your device more. It can also register on our wifi system as a new device instead of recognising it as a device already connected. To avoid this, please follow the steps below:

1. In your settings, go to Wifi and press the blue “i” next to the network you are connected to. (CoftonCloud, Cofton_Cloud or CoftonCloud1)
2. Click on “Private Wi-Fi Address”
3. If this is just a toggle on/off option then please toggle off. If this opens a list of options please make sure “fixed” is ticked, not “rotating” which may be the default option for your device.
