On your visit to Cofton expect the unexpected when it comes to foodie offering. We may serve some of the traditional favourites you know and love, but we do this with quality at the heart of everything we cook and the very best of local produce.
Aside from the traditional menus, explore our speciality menu with creative and innovative recipes from our fantastic chefs. We try to buy from local suppliers within Devon so no matter whether you are looking for old classics, gourmet pub food or creative vegan delights, we have just the food for you on our menus.
Our Head Chef
Our kitchen team is led by renowned chef Martin Skidmore. He has worked in kitchens all over the world and loves nothing more than to experiment and develop recipes with unusual flavour combinations.
Front of house
Our front of house team are headed up by Scott Reid who has 15 years and prides himself on providing his team with continuous training, to ensure we provide the very best customer experience while maintaining the family ethos the company was built upon.

Local Produce
Where possible our produce is sourced within miles of the Cofton site, so you can enjoy the very best of Devon.
Meat and Fish
Our meat and fish are sourced from a range of local suppliers including MC Kelly, Copplestone, Robert Cotton Mamhead, Kingfisher, Brixham and RD Johns, Newton Abbot.
Fresh Produce
Fresh produce comes from Dart Fresh in Topsham and our gourmet mushrooms come from Forest Fungi, Dawlish
Dairy and Eggs
Our eggs and dairy are sourced from Devon Eggs, Linhayes and Hawridge Farmhouse Dairy, Crediton .
A taste of Cofton – Our signature dishes
Cofton is an absolute haven for foodies, offering all of your favourite classics with that extra touch of quality, but if you want something that really stands out try one of our seasonal signature dishes, specially developed by our chefs to pack a punch when it comes to that extra flavour.
Try local Devon Pork Belly
Winter or summer, this fabulous dish never leaves our menu because it’s a real favourite whatever the weather. Try local Devon pork belly, black pudding bon bons and fondant potatoes.
Oven Baked Cod
For the ultimate taste of the ocean our oven baked cod will not disappoint. Served with parma ham, horseradish mash, braised fennel, charred broccoli and a white wine parsley cream. Experience the perfect balance of flavour.
Stuffed Butternut Squash
A vegetarian option that simply will not disappoint. With Mediterranean vegetable, pesto, buffalo mozzarella, tomato sauce, rocket and pine nuts.
They may not have made it to the signature section of our menu but two extra special dishes for food lovers to try,
Chicken and wild mushroom tagliatelle
Succulent home smoked chicken breast and locally sourced wild mushrooms, with fresh tagliatelle and a indulgent creamy white wine sauce. All this deliciousness with a hand rolled artisan garlic to make sure none of the sauciness goes to waste.
Fish and Chips (We think you’ll struggle to find better nearby).
When you go on holiday, fish and chips are a staple, but where traditional fish and chips by the seaside or in your caravan are fabulous, sometimes you want to enjoy your fish and chips in a more formal setting.
